Welcome to the Charter Qualified Contract Installer (QCI) Program

This program offers you:

  1. An assessment to confirm your ability to perform quality VoIP installations as a Charter contractor.
  2. An effective and entertaining online training program to provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to successfully pass the assessment.

Why this is important to you:

All Charter VoIP installation contractors are encouraged and may be required to take and pass this computer assessment as a precondition of work. 
If you pass this assessment, you will be awarded an electronic certificate as proof of your ability to perform quality installations. 
If you do not pass this assessment, you are encouraged to complete the Jones/NCTI IP Voice course explained below. 

Steps to Qualification:

  1. The Qualification Exam -  If you feel you are prepared to access the testing site, click here
  1. The IP Voice Program – If you would like to take advantage of our online training program or you have not scored a passing grade on the first attempt at the assessment.  Taking and passing this IP Voice course will qualify you for VoIP installation.  To enroll in the IP Voice program, click here.
  2. Effective May 1, 2008 Charter contractors will assume full responsibility for payment of the IP Voice course.  Any enrollments received on or after May 1st will be processed at the discounted $300 rate.  Charter Communications will continue to pay the $25 fee for approved Charter contractors on the IP Voice Qualification Assessment Exams. More about the IP Voice program:

This program is based on the Jones/NCTI e-learning course called “IP Voice” covering the latest in VoIP technology and practices. The IP Voice course uses full-motion video, animation and a unique iterative learning technology called VALT (Verified Accelerated Learning Technique - VALT) to ensure mastery of the key concepts taught in the course.

This program has the following features: 

  1. VoIP relevant content.
  2. Job aides and printable materials for future study and reference.
  3. Lesson assessments to assist in the review and learning process.
