The Fast Track to Graduation
All colleges have rules and requirements relating to degrees and graduation; Jones/NCTI, through its relationship with Arapahoe Community College (ACC), is no exception. To make sure you have a successful college experience we wanted to provide you with the following information pertaining to Arapahoe Community College to help you stay on “The Fast Track To Graduation."

1. The fastest way to graduate is to remain an active student by continually taking
     courses for college credit.
If you don't remain an active student, your course catalog requirements may change. As a result, you may have to take additional courses to graduate.
If you would like to ensure, that your active student status is maintained,
complete at least one course for college credit through ACC every nine months.
Students who do not remain consistently enrolled and actively completing courses
     become inactive students.
A student who returns after having been inactive must follow the current catalog requirements.
As a result, the student may have to take additional courses to graduate.

2. It is important to understand your catalog requirements. A catalog will be your guide
and reference to determine which courses you need to complete to get your degree.
A college catalog is a book published by the college or university describing requirements
for admission, degrees, services, and course descriptions.
New catalogs are published each year.
Course requirements for certificates and degrees are listed in the Jones/NCTI College Program

   and Arapahoe Community College Catalog.

3. Determine which ACC catalog you are in and which requirements apply to you.
Print a copy of your catalog requirements.
If it has been more than a year since you completed a course (for college credit) then you
are automatically in the 2007/2008 ACC Catalog and must comply with the course requirements
listed in that catalog to qualify for your certificate or degree. These same requirements are also
listed in the NCTI 2007 College Program Catalog and on the Jones/NCTI Web site.
If it has been less than a year since you have completed a course for college credit, you can
track your completion dates backwards. As long as you can keep going back without a gap
of longer than 365 days, you can trace them back to an older catalog. So, if you have been
continuously active (completed at least one credit-approved course per year) and completed
     a course between:
June 1, 2006 and May 31, 2007, use the 2006-2007 Catalog
June 1, 2005 and May 31, 2006, use the 2005-2006 Catalog
June 1, 2004 and May 31, 2005, use the 2004-2005 Catalog
June 1, 2003 and May 31, 2004, use the 2003-2004 Catalog
June 1, 2002 and May 31, 2003, use the 2002-2003 Catalog
Please feel free to contact the NCTI College Programs Department at collegeprogram@jonesncti.com if you have any questions or you want help determining which catalog you are in.
